Background:

DBSK was a five membered South Korean boy group that consisted of U-Know Yunho, Max Changmin, Hero JaeJoong, Micky Yoochun, and Xiah Junsu that debuted under the label SM Entertainment in 2003. However, in 2009 the three latter filed an injunction against their label due to an unlawful contract which ceased all group activities after 2009.

In 2011, the two remaining members: U-Know Yunho and Max Changmin made their comeback after a 2 year and 3 month hiatus with their fifth album Keep Your Head Down, which ranked at No. 1 on the Oricon charts.

DBSK is one of Asia's most successful acts and have been labeled "Kings of K-Pop," "Gods of K-Pop," "Asia's Stars," and "Kings of the Hallyu Wave." Billboard described the group as "K-Pop Royalty." DBSK is the best-selling K-Pop group in the world. Since their debut, DBSK has released six Korean albums, six Japanese albums, over 20 Korean singles and over 30 Japanese singles.

Debut:

DBSK debuted on December 26th, 2003 at Britney Spears and BoA’s showcase concert. They performed an a cappella rendition of  ‘O Holy Night’ with BoA and preformed their debut song ‘Hug’.

In April 2005, the group debuted in Japan under the Avax sub-label Rhythm Zone with the single "Stay with me Tonight."

Official Fan Club Names:

Korea
Cassiopeia
  • Cassiopeia is the official Korean, Chinese, Thailand, Malaysian and Global fan club of DBSK.
  • Cassiopeia is a constellation of five stars that form a “W” in the night sky that shines brightly just like the five members of DBSK do. Coincidentally, the word  “TVfXQ” also forms a “W” when traced on a computer keyboard.
  • April 23 is celebrated by fans as Cassiopeia Day since the fan club was formed on April 23, 2006 by Max Changmin.
Japan
Bigeast
  • 'Bigeast' is the official Japanese fan club of DBSK.
  • 'Bigeast’ is the combination of ‘Big’ and ‘East’ (Biggest) that was put together as to make the largest fan club gathering all the fans from around the world together.
  • It was officially launched on April 1, 2006; however, the fan club has been closed due to the groups inactivity but reopened to accept new member registrations from August 2011 till now.
  • Although the official balloon color for DBSK is Pearl Red, 'Bigeast' fans surprised TVXQ by turning the usual 'Red Ocean' into a 'Blue Ocean' when the group sang "Stand By U" at the Tokyo Dome in 2009.
  • The color blue is said to represent the Japanese’s gratitude and acceptance for the members.
Official Fan Color:
Pearl Red

Slogan:

"Always Keep The Faith"
-can be abbreviated as AKTF
  • The slogan "Always Keep The Faith" is used by Cassie fans around the world as a means of bringing DBSK fans together in times of hardship, to remind us that someday the five people that worked their way into our hearts will reunite as one to do what they love most-sing.
  • It is said that the phrase came from Park Yoochun who wrote it under his signatures. (He still writes it today). Others say that Yoochun would tell his fans to always keep the faith when the whole lawsuit thing was going on. Either way, "Always Keep The Faith" is a beautiful slogan that is used tremendously by Cassiopeia to support our five boys.
  • Park Yoochun and Kim JaeJoong had the slogan tattooed on their chests in 2009 along with  Yoohwan (Yoochun's younger brother) and a few of their dancers. Kim Junsu’s brother; Junho included the words as the lyrics in his debut song 'Nothing to Lose'.
